The Watertown Shamrocks, the latest addition to the North American Hockey League, will compete in the Central Division beginning in the 2024-25 season. 

Casey Kirley, a seasoned figure in the hockey world, brings a wealth of experience and aims to make a significant impact in the league as the Shamrocks head coach. Kirley’s appointment is a strategic move by the Shamrocks, reflecting their dedication to fostering a culture of success both on and off the ice.

The Assistant Coach has also been named: Griff Jeszka.

The Shamrocks will call Prairie Lakes Ice Arena home. The brand new arena boasts two NHL-sized ice rinks featuring a main rink that is three feet lower than the main floor, providing a fantastic view of the playing surface. The second floor consists of seating, walking tracks, and a media box that can be utilized for filming games and broadcasting.

The team’s ownership group, Codington County Hockey Club LLC, expressed their excitement about bringing junior hockey to the community and filling the state-of-the-art Prairie Lakes Ice Arena with thrilling action. The arena, featuring two NHL-sized ice rinks, promises to offer fans an exceptional viewing experience.

 
The Watertown Shamrocks are the seventh team in the NAHL’s Central Division. The Central currently has six teams including the: Aberdeen Wings (Aberdeen, SD), Austin Bruins (Austin, MN), Bismarck Bobcats (Bismarck, ND), North Iowa Bulls (Mason City, IA), Minot Minotauros (Minot, ND) and St. Cloud Norsemen (St. Cloud, MN).
