The Watertown Shamrocks are set to host the Aberdeen Wings on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2025, at Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. This matchup holds significant weight in the NAHL Central Division standings, as both teams vie for crucial points in the playoff race. The Wings currently stand 5th in the Division with 54 points and a record of 26-22-2-0. The Shamrocks rest at 7th in the division with 34 points and a record of 15-31-2-2. The Shamrocks, under the guidance of head coach Casey Kirley, have experienced a challenging inaugural season but aim to capitalize on their home-ice advantage to secure a pivotal win.
In their previous home encounter on February 14, 2025, the Shamrocks fell to the Wings 4-1, despite matching Aberdeen’s 33 shots on goal. The following day, the Shamrocks fell to the Wings in a close 4-5 loss. To secure their first franchise wing against Aberdeen, Watertown must focus on staying out of the penalty box and capitalizing on scoring opportunities.
