Plymouth, MI — The Watertown Shamrocks are thrilled to announce that three players, Ryan Gingher, Cam Markham, and Owen Chartier, have been invited to the North American Hockey League’s (NAHL) Top Prospects tournament.
Gingher, the Captain for the Shamrocks, is in his third full season in the NAHL and his first in Watertown. He has set new career highs this season in assists (nine), points (14), and shots on goal (64). He has also been an integral part of the Shamrocks’ top power play grouping with three goals and four assists on the man advantage. On his career, the 2004 born native of Dublin, Ohio, has appeared in 129 games playing for the Janesville Jets, Amarillo Wranglers, and El Paso Rhinos in addition to the Shamrocks.
Joining him is another 2004 born forward in Markham. Markham is in his second full season in the NAHL after spending last year with the Wisconsin Windigo and Austin Bruins. He has been a consistent force on the ice for the Shamrocks registering 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 total points. All three of those marks rank inside the top three for all Shamrocks. Like Gingher, the Houghton, MI native has contributed immensely on the powerplay and is the teams second leading scorer on the man advantage with four goals and six assists.
Alongside the two veterans is rookie Owen Chartier. Chartier has appeared in 32 games this season for Watertown reaching double digits in goals with 10 to pair with his eight assists. A native of Excelsior, MN, Chartier has also appeared in four total (three this season, one last season) USHL games for the Tri-City Storm who own his rights.
The NAHL’s Top Prospects tournament takes place this season in Plymouth, MI at USA Hockey Arena on February 17-18.
