Watertown, SD — The Watertown Shamrocks have officially signed 2005 born defenseman Jordan Gudridge to a tender agreement for the 2025-26 season.
Gudridge, whose brother Mason is also a goaltender for the Shamrocks, joins the Shamrocks squad as a veteran junior hockey defenseman. The Greenwood Village, CO native has spent the past three years playing across a handful of different leagues in North America. The veteran presence is something that Shamrocks Head Coach and General Manager Casey Kirley pointed to as a part of the excitement for signing Gudridge.
“Jordan is a defenseman that we will lean on both on the ice and as a leader,” Kirley said. “He’s a veteran player who has proven to have elite offensive instincts at the junior hockey level. He will be relied upon in all situations for us next year.”
Originally a 2021 fourth round Phase I draft pick to the USHL’s Madison Capitols, Goodridge played his entire rookie season in 2022-23 with Madison appearing in 47 games and accumulating eight total points. He then joined the NAHL’s expansion Colorado Grit in his home state for the 2023-24 season where he posted seven goals and 18 assists for 25 points in 48 games. Most recently, he has spent this season in Canada playing for the Sherwood Park Crusaders and the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL.
