Shamrocks Acquire Dubey in Swap of Defensemen

Watertown, SD — The Watertown Shamrocks have completed a trade to acquire Brandt Dubey from the Minnesota Wilderness in exchange for Tommy Manzella according to Watertown’s Head Coach and General Manager Casey Kirley.

Dubey, a 2006 born defenseman, joins the Shamrocks in the midst of his second full season in the North American Hockey League. This season, he has played in 20 of 21 games for the Wilderness recording 2 assists and 39 penalty minutes (PIM). For his career, Dubey has played in 81 career games dating back to last season with the Wilderness. The Orchard Park, NY native is a product of the Buffalo Jr. Sabres AAA program and appeared in two USHL games for the Tri-City storm in 2022-23.

Dubey will wear jersey number 24 and is expected to be available this weekend as the Shamrocks travel to Austin, MN to take on the Bruins.
