Watertown, SD — Watertown Shamrocks forward Caz Carlson announced his commitment this week to advance to St. Cloud State University to continue his academic and hockey career.
Carlson, a native of Virginia Minnesota, appeared in a pair of games this season for the Shamrocks as an affiliate player after concluding a prolific junior season for Rock Ridge High in the Minnesota State High School League. In his two games with the Shamrocks, Carlson logged an assist, one shot on goal, and an even rating.
“We’re very proud of Caz on his commitment to St. Cloud,” Shamrocks’ Head Coach and General Manager Casey Kirley said in a statement. “In his time with our team this year, he made a positive impact on our group every day. Caz is a responsible, 200 foot player, sees the ice well and finishes plays. Most importantly, though, he is ultra-competitive and has a passion for the game.”
