WATERTOWN SHAMROCKS (1-4-0-0) vs. MINOT MINOTAUROS (1-3-0-1)

The Watertown Shamrocks will host the Minot Minotauros at 7:00 PM on Friday and Saturday in Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. It will be the Shamrocks’ sixth and seventh regular-season games of the 2025-26 season.
Friday evening will be the annual Farmers’ Union Credit and Insurance Food Drive. For every three non-perishable food items or a $10 donation, while supplies last, fans will receive a Farmer’s Union Food Drive Jersey. It will be one jersey per donation, and all proceeds go to the Salvation Army. Jersey sizes kids small to large and adult small to 3XL will be available. Doors open at 6 PM.
Saturday evening is the Shamrocks’ first-ever White Out game. Fans are encouraged to dress up in their Farmer’s Union jerseys or their best all-white outfits. Pack the PLIA with white!
WATERTOWN SHAMROCKS:
The Shamrocks will go into this division matchup after a 1-2 record at the 2025 NAHL showcase and a 1-4-0-0 record on the season. They recorded their first win at the Showcase in an 8-2 victory over the Odessa Jackalopes, and are looking to gain two more over the weekend. On special teams, the Shamrocks currently have the second-best power play in the division at 27.27%. They have converted six power-play goals. The Shamrocks also have two short-handed goals, tied for second in the division.
MINOT MINOTAUROS
The Minotauros come to Watertown with a 1-2 record at the NAHL showcase, as well, and a 1-3-0-1 record on the season. They lost their first two games to the Oklahoma Warriors and New Hampshire Mountain Kings, and won their last game against the Anchorage Wolverines for their first regular-season victory. The Minotauros currently sit at sixth in the Central Division. They finished last season third in the Central Division, with a record of 42-20-2-0.
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
SHAMROCKS:
- Junior Podein currently leads the team in both goals and assists, with three goals and seven assists in five games played. He scored goals in three straight games in September.
- Shamrocks’ captain Carter Sproule leads the team in assists with six on the season. Five of those six came from the Shamrocks’ NAHL Showcase games.
- Forward Zach Boren scored two goals in the Shamrocks’ last game in a 3-4 loss.
MINOTAUROS:
- Artem Prima has the team lead in goals and points with three goals and four points. Two of those goals and his assist come from the Minotauros’ last game played.
- Davin Nichols has the team lead in assists, with three on the season. Two of the three also came from their last played game.
- Goalie Brian Cooke currently leads the team with a .8966 save percentage and one win on the year.
