Watertown, SD — The Watertown Shamrocks have finalized a trade to send defenseman Gabe Simpson to the Grand Junction River Hawks.
In exchange for the 2007 born blue liner, the Shamrocks received future assets. Simpson was originally tendered by Watertown this May.
Simpson, who is from Lafayette, CO, will now return to his home state for his third season of junior hockey. He is committed to play NCAA Division 1 college hockey at Lindenwood University.
