FRIDAY’S GAME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: The Watertown Shamrocks defeated the Austin Bruins on Friday night at Riverside Arena in the fourteenth regular-season game of the 2025-26 season.
The Bruins started the scoring on Friday night with a short-handed goal at 13:23 in the first. JJ Franceschetti, assisted by Connor Beckwith, made the score 1-0. Later in the period, Antons Macijevskis, while falling, puts the Sharmocks on the board to make the game 1-1. Edvins Berzins and Justin Bartley tallied the assists.
In the second, Zach Boren scored the only goal of the period off a shot rebound, with assists from Andrew Smulkstys and Jordan Gudridge. The Shamrocks took a 2-1 lead into the third period.
At 14:13 of the third, the Bruins grabbed their second short-handed goal of the game by Matsvei Marshchanok, assisted by Siamion Marschanok. At 11:58, M. Marshchanok scored his second goal of the game on the power play, assisted by S. Marshchanok and Nathan Williams. At 8:01, Shamrocks’ Jake Pietila tied the game at three with his first NAHL goal, assisted by Smulkstys and Owen Chartier. In the final minutes of period three, Chartier continued his point streak with a breakaway, top-shelf goal to put the Shamrocks ahead 4-3.

SATURDAY’S GAME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: The Watertown Shamrocks overcame the Austin Bruins on Saturday night at Riverside Arena in the fourteenth regular-season game of the 2025-26 season, for their second series sweep of the season, and fourth straight win.
On Saturday night, the Shamrocks started hot with three goals in the first period. Owen Chartier scored at 17:18 on the power play, notching another game in his point streak, with assists from Erick Comstock and Cater Sproule. At 12:56, Justin Obrochta scored to make it 2-0, assisted by Joe Rice and Owen Fask. In the final two minutes of the period, Edvins Berzins scored his first NAHL goal, assisted by Jake Pietila and Shae Gavin.
In the second, the Bruins got on the board with a goal by Matsvei Marshchanok, assisted by Siamion Marshchanok and Sam Kline at 15:27. Sproule then scored on the power play with 12:16 left in the period, assisted by Comstock and Zach Boren. At 9:51, Siamion Marshchanok scored on a Bruins power play, assisted by Nathan Williams and Connor Beckwith, to make the game 4-2.
In the third, the Bruins’ EJ Paddington scored a final power play goal at 18:55, with assists from Williams and Michael Coleman. The Shamrocks defended well in the third to hold a 4-3 win.
