Shamrocks Fall to Norsemen, But Bounce Back Against Mallards

THURSDAY’S GAME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: The Watertown Shamrocks fell to the St. Cloud Norsemen on Thursday night at St. Cloud Municipal Athletic Complex in the fifty-fifth regular-season game of the 2025-26 season. 

The Shamrocks were held scoreless on Thursday night against the Norsemen. Despite 27 shots on goal, the Shamrocks could not find the back of the net. 

St. Cloud scored in the second period on the power play and in the third period on an empty net.

FRIDAY’S GAME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: The Watertown Shamrocks defeated the Minnesota Mallards on Friday night at Forest Lake Sport Center in the fifty-sixth regular-season game of the 2025-26 season. 

This game started fast with five goals in the first period. The Shamrocks’ Justin Obrochta, assisted by Owen Chartier and Owen Fask, got the first goal at 17:03. At 15:24, and on the power play, Joe Rice, assisted by Brody Josselyn and Kyle Greene, made it 2-0. At 14:42, the Mallards got their first goal of the game from Cohen Hoening, assisted by Bryce Wiitala and Deke Davison. Chartier, assisted by Josselyn and Fask, made it 3-0 Shamrocks. At 5:38, the Mallards got the last goal of the period from Drew Bowe, assisted by Wiitala and Wes Berg. 

In the second, the Shamrocks got their second power play goal. At 17:31, Andrew Smulkstys, assisted by Nash Paine and Payton Struck, secured the Shamrocks’ lead. At 2:16, the Mallards’ Keanan Pearman, assisted by Berg and Jack Roberts, got one more. 

Both teams were scoreless in the third period. The final score was 4-3 Shamrocks.

SATURDAY’S GAME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: The Watertown Shamrocks were victorious over the Minnesota Mallards on Saturday night at Forest Lake Sport Center in the fifty-seventh regular-season game of the 2025-26 season.

On Saturday night, Watertown came out and scored four goals in the first period. At 16:42, Payton Struck, assisted by Brody Jossely and Joe Rice, scored goal one. At 13:52, Owen Fask, assisted by Owen Chartier and Jordan Gudridge, made it a 2-0 Shamrocks lead. At 4:41, Rice scored a goal of his own, assisted by Kyle Greene and Chartier. Rice then got a second goal to finish the period, assisted by Struck and Greene. 

In the second, the Mallards got a few goals of their own. Wes Berg, Ryan Lucarelli, and Colin Spimpson each scored for Minnesota. At 11:12, Ben Davis, assisted by Sebastian Haborak and Bennet Benson, got the last goal of the period for the Shamrocks to take a 5-3 lead. 

In the third period, Daniel Halonen, assisted by Jake Pietila and Grady Dimberio, kicked off the scoring at 13:59. The Mallards then got two more of their own goals from Michael Domina and Joseph DeLaurentis. Chartier, assisted by Josselyn and Rice, scored on the power play at 1:51, then the Mallards secured one more from DeLaurentis at 1:38. Shamrocks take this one with a final score of 7-6.
