Shamrocks finish regular-season series 7-1 over Minotauros

FRIDAY’S GAME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: The Watertown Shamrocks defeated the Minot Minotauros on Friday night on Pepsi Rink at Maysa Arena in the forty-first regular-season game of the 2025-26 season.

The first period was quiet, with Kyle Greene, assisted by Justin Bartley, scoring the Shamrocks breakaway short-handed goal. Goalie Mason Gudridge saved all 16 Minotauro shots. 

At 18:54 in the second period, Jordan Gudridge, assisted by Payton Struck and Bartley, gave the Shamrocks a 2-0 lead.

Two quick Minotauro goals, by Jachym Prusek and Anthony Spadaro, to start the third period tied the game at 2-2. At 10:13, Justin Obrochta pulls the puck away, assisted by Antons Macijevskis and Grady Dimberio, and buries it deep to put the Shamrocks back on top 3-2. The last two minutes of the game saw an empty net goal by Joe Rice, assisted by Zach Boren and Mason Gudridge, a Minotauro’s goal by Lucca Ori, and a final empty net goal by Struck, assisted by Rice and Boren, to make it a 5-3 Shamrocks win.

SATURDAY’S GAME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: The Watertown Shamrocks were triumphant over the Minot Minotauros on Saturday night on Pepsi Rink at Maysa Arena in the forty-second regular-season game of the 2025-26 season.

The Minotuaros came out first on Saturday. At 8:37, Ty James, assisted by Davin Nichols and Evan Foiles, scored first. In the last 25 seconds, Volodymyr Naumenko, assisted by Dane Ramirex and Trevor Steward, made it 0-2 Minot. 

The second period was quiet until 1:08. Owen Chartier, assisted by Zach Boren and Andrew Smulkstys, scored on the power play to make it 1-2. 

In the third period, at 11:01, Boren, assisted by Kyle Greene and Brody Josselyn, tied the game up 2-2. The 2-2 score held until the buzzer, pushing this game to overtime. 

At 3:08 in overtime, Greene, assisted by Chartier and Justin Bartley, sniped the net to give the Shamrocks a dramatic 3-2 overtime win.
