PLYMOUTH, MI. (February, 17th & 18th, 2025):
The Watertown Shamrocks were well represented at the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament, with Owen Chartier, Ryan Gingher, and Cam Markham showcasing their talents on a big stage. Each player brought a unique skill set to the event, proving why they were selected among the league’s best. Gingher and Markham were representing the Shamrocks on the NAHL Selects Black while Chartier competed on NAHL Selects Gold. Chartier’s two-way play stood out as he made key defensive plays while finding the back of the net to score the first goal for the entire tournament and later scoring again in a shoutout. Gingher showcased his passing ability by setting up teammates with passes and generating offensive pressure grabbing an assist. Meanwhile, one of the Shamrocks’ top scorers, Markham aided Gingher and Selects Black to win the Top Prospects Tournament as the only undefeated team.
Their performances at the tournament not only highlighted their abilities but also showed the growth of the Shamrocks program. Competing against top-tier talent, all three players held their own and gained valuable experience that they will bring back to Watertown for the remainder of the season. Their success at this stage reinforces their potential at the next level and serves as motivation for the team as they push toward a strong finish. With their top prospects making an impact, the Shamrocks continue to prove they have players capable of competing among the best in the NAHL.
