WATERTOWN SHAMROCKS (18-15-0-1) vs. MINOT MINOTAUROS (15-18-2-2)

The Watertown Shamrocks will host the Minot Minotauros on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. It will be the Shamrocks’ thirty-fifth and thirty-sixth regular-season games of the 2025-26 season. This is the third regular-season matchup between these teams.
Friday night’s game is the free NATV game of the week. To watch the game, fans can create an account, but do not need to pay for a subscription.
This weekend, the Shamrocks will be celebrating the amazing local families of Watertown with Billet Appreciation Nights. These families have opened their homes and hearts to our players and organization, so join us in thanking them!
THIS SEASON:
So far this season, the Shamrocks have gone 3-1 against the Minotauros in their four games.
In the first set of games, the Shamrocks and the Minotauros split the series in Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. On Friday night, the Shamrocks fell short in a 3-5 loss. Despite two goals in the first, the Shamrocks were scoreless in the third and could not pull ahead. On Saturday night, Watertown defeated Minot 3-2 in an exciting shootout. After a game-tying goal in the third, the Shamrocks were unsuccessful in overtime, forcing the game to a shootout. Two Shamrock goals and two big saves gave Watertown the win.
In the second set of games, the Shamrocks swept the series on Pepsi Rink at Maysa Arena. On Friday night, Minot got the first goal in the first period, but the Shamrocks got the last to tie the game at 1-1. After this, the game was all Shamrocks. There were four goals from four different goal scorers in the second, then a single goal in the third for a 7-4 win. On Saturday, it was a similar story with the Shamrocks scoring four straight goals to start the game. Minot and Watertown netted goals in the second, but the Shamrocks secured three more in the third for an 8-2 win.
WATERTOWN SHAMROCKS:
The Shamrocks will enter this division matchup after splitting two games against the North Iowa Bulls, 0-4 on Friday and 4-3 on Saturday.
On Friday, the Shamrocks were held scoreless despite 31 shots on goal. The first two periods were even, with no goals scored, but the Bulls scored four in the third. The Shamrocks fell 0-4. On Saturday night, it was a different story. The Shamrocks scored three goals in the first period withSebastian Haborak, Jordan Gudridge, and Payton Struck all netting one. In the second, North Iowa made it 3-1, but tied it at three in the third. A second goal from Haborak gave the Shamrocks the edge to secure a 4-3 win.
The Shamrocks have won two of their last five games and currently sit in fourth place in the Central Division.
MINOT MINOTAUROS:
The Minotauros will enter this division matchup after splitting two home games with the Bismarck Bobcats, 4-5 on Friday and 4-3 on Saturday.
On Friday, the Bobcats struck first on the power play, but the Minotaruos pulled in the second period 2-1. Three Bobcat goals and two Minotauros goals in the third period sent the game into overtime. After being awarded a power play, Eddie Revenig of the Bobcats netted the winning 5-4 goal. On Saturday, Minot scored the first goal of the game on the power play in the first period. Bismarck tied it up, but Minot scored two more in the second period to make it a 3-1 game. Bismarck staged a comeback in the third to send this game to overtime. A goal from Minots’ Ty James secured them the 4-3 overtime win.
The Bulls have won three of their last five games and are in sixth place in the Central Division.
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
SHAMROCKS:
- Jordan Gudridge had a career high of three points on Saturday night. He has four goals and 13 assists for 17 points this season.
- Sebastian Haborak has three goals in six games played for the Shamrocks this season. He scored two goals on Saturday night.
- Payton Struck scored a goal on Saturday night and has four points in his last six games played.
MINOTAUROS:
- Artem Prima leads the Minotauros with 26 points and 18 assists, and has eight goals on the season.
- Dane Ramirez leads the Minotauros with 10 goals this season. He also has five assists for a total of 15 points.
- Ty Jamaes has 25 points, 17 assists, and eight goals, scoring the game-winning overtime goal on Saturday.
