Shamrocks to Host Bruins in Weekend Showdown

WATERTOWN SHAMROCKS (2-7-0-0) vs. AUSTIN BRUINS (7-2-1-1)
PRAIRIE LAKES ICE ARENA | NAHL REGULAR SEASON | GAME #10 AND #11 | OCTOBER 31 AND NOVEMBER 1, 2025

 

The Watertown Shamrocks will host the Austin Bruins Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. It will be the Shamrocks’ tenth and eleventh regular-season games of the 2025-26 season, following an off-weekend. 

Friday evening will be the Shamrock’s Halloween celebration. There will be a Trunk-or-Treat event with local businesses in the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena parking lot from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Donnybrook will be giving out candy and bracelets as fans enter the rink. There will be a costume contest along with other fun Halloween games. Dress up in your Halloween finest and pack the PLIA! 

Saturday evening is the premiere of Watertown’s My Town episode by Cory Helpola. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m., and the episode starts at 5:45 p.m. There will be a rally towel giveaway for the first 700 fans, sponsored by My Town, Trav’s Outfitters, Moffatt Products, and Watertown Development Company. Puck drop will be unaffected. After the game, there will be Skate with the Shamrocks. 

 

WATERTOWN SHAMROCKS:

The Shamrocks will go into this division matchup after an off-weekend. The weekend before, the Shamrocks lost the weekend series against the Bismarck Bobcats, 6-3 on Saturday and 5-0 on Sunday. The Shamrocks are still hot on special teams, converting on about 25% of their power plays. They went 1 for 2 on Saturday night against the Bobcats. 

 

AUSTIN BRUINS

The Bruins come to Watertown after an off-weekend as well. The weekend before, they swept a weekend series over the Minot Minotauros. They won Friday’s game 4-3 and Saturday’s game 5-1. The Bruins currently sit third in the Central Division with a 7-2-1-1 record. They finished last season in second place in the Central Division with a record of 46-16-4-2. 

 

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

SHAMROCKS:

  • Junior Podein and Carter Sproule are both tied for first on the team with five goals, seven assists, and a total of 12 points. 
  • Zach Boren follows both of them in every category with two goals, five assists, and seven total points. 
  • Erick Comstock, Jordan Gudridge, and Antons Macijevskis are tied with four points each. 

 

BRUINS:

  • Siamion Marshchanok leads the team with eight goals and 17 points and is tied for first in assists with nine.
  • Matsvei Marshchanok is second on the team with five goals and 14 points. 
  • For third in each category, Zander Lipsett has four goals, Nathan Williams has eight assists, and EJ Paddinton has 11 points
