Shamrocks to take on Bobcats at Home in Weekend Series

WATERTOWN SHAMROCKS (2-5-0-0) vs. BISMARK BOBCATS (5-4-0-0)

The Watertown Shamrocks will host the Bismarck Bobcats at 7:00 PM on Saturday and 6:00 PM on Sunday in Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. It will be the Shamrocks’ eighth and ninth regular-season games of the 2025-26 season. 

Saturday evening marks the Shamrocks’ first-ever Women and Girls in Hockey Night, Pucks and Ponytails, presented by Prairie Lakes Healthcare Systems. This special evening will be about celebrating women athletes and hockey players, and their impact on sports. 

Sunday evening is the Shamrocks’ first-ever Faith & Family Night. There will be a band in the lobby from 5-5:40 PM. 

 

WATERTOWN SHAMROCKS:

The Shamrocks will go into this division matchup after an off-weekend. The weekend before, the Shamrocks split their weekend series against the Minot Minotauros with a 3-5 loss on Friday and a 3-2 shootout victory on Saturday. The Shamrocks are currently converting 25.57% on the power play, putting them in second in the division. They sit at sixth overall in the Central Division. After this past week, the Shamrocks are looking to capture two more victories.

 

BISMARCK BOBCATS:


The Bobcats come to Watertown after splitting a weekend series with the St. Cloud Norsemen. They won Friday’s game 9-1 and lost Saturday’s game 4-3. The Bobcats currently sit fifth in the Central Division with a 5-4-0-0 record. They finished last season in first place of the Central Division, then went on to win the Robertson Cup, with a record of 56-12-3-1. 

 

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

SHAMROCKS:

  • Carter Sproule currently leads the team in both goals and assists, with five goals and seven assists. He scored the game-winning shootout goal two weekends ago. 
  • Junior Podein currently sits in second with four goals and six assists. 
  • Zach Boren falls in at third for the team with two goals and five assists on the season. 

 

BOBCATS:

  • Cooper Williams currently leads the Bobcats in goals with six on the year and is tied with Mark Evans with six assists. 
  • Charlie Kresl is second on the team with four goals, with one coming in Saturday’s matchup. 
  • Gianni Divita and Noah Ziskie both had two goals in the series this past weekend.
