WATERTOWN SHAMROCKS (27-18-2-1) vs. ABERDEEN WINGS (31-14-3-2)

The Watertown Shamrocks will play the Aberdeen Wings on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. It will be the Shamrocks’ forty-ninth regular-season game of the 2025-26 season. This is the fourth regular-season matchup between these teams. Tuesday is the Shamrocks St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Show up, be loud, and let’s celebrate!
THIS SEASON:
So far this season, the Shamrocks have gone 3-2 against the Wings in their five games played.
In the first set of games, the Wings swept the Shamrocks at Odde Ice Center and Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. On Friday, after the Shamrocks started the scoring in the first period, the Wings dominated the rest of the game. With one to end the first period, three in the second, and two in the third, the Wings took a 1-6 victory. Saturday was a similar story, with the Shamrocks starting the scoring again in the first period. Four Wings’ goal in the second period gave them the lead. Despite the Shamrocks scoring two more in the third period, the Wings walked away with a 3-6 victory.
In the third game, the Shamrocks defeated the Wings at Odde Ice Center. In this Wednesday game, the Wings netted two goals in the first period to put them up 2-0. In the second, the Shamrocks scored two of their own to make it 2-2. In the third, Owen Chartier scored two goals with Zach Boren netting one to close this game out in a 5-2 Shamrocks victory.
In the second set of games, the Shamrocks swept the Wings at Odde Ice Center and Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. On Friday, Aberdeen went up early in the first, but the Shamrocks tied it to end the second period 1-1. The third period was back and forth, with Kyle Greene tying it up in the final seconds to send it to overtime. Joe Rice secured the Shamrocks’ 4-3 overtime victory. On Saturday, the Shamrocks shut out the Wings. Goals from Zach Boren, Owen Chartier, and Justin Obrochta helped in the 3-0 victory, along with Goalie Mason Gudridge’s 40 saves.
WATERTOWN SHAMROCKS:
The Shamrocks will enter this division matchup after sweeping a two-game series against the North Iowa Bulls, 5-2 on Friday and 5-4 (SO) on Saturday.
On Friday, Watertown came out and battled back and forth through the first, leaving the period tied at 2-2. In the second and third periods, the Shamrocks dominated. Goals from Daniel Halonen, a second goal from Zach Boren, and an empty-net goal from Jordan Gudridge gave them the 5-2 win. On Saturday, the Bulls went up 0-2 in the first period. Two Shamrock goals in the second period made it 2-3. Goals from Justin Bartley and Antons Macijevskis put the Shamrocks ahead 4-3, but a tying Bulls goal in the final seconds sent it to overtime. Goals from Owen Chartier and Erick Comstock in the shootout made it a 5-4 (SO) Shamrocks victory.
The Shamrocks have won two of their last five games and currently sit in fourth place in the Central Division.
ABERDEEN WINGS
The Wings will enter this division matchup after sweeping two away games against the Bismarck Bobcats, 3-2 (SO) on Friday and 4-1 on Saturday.
On Friday, Bismarck scored on the power play in the final seconds of the first period. In the second period, Bismarck scored a second goal, but Aberdeen scored shortly after to cut the lead to one. Halfway through the third period, the Wings tied things up at 2-2, sending it to overtime. After a scoreless overtime, Owen Pitters scored for the Wings to take a 3-2 victory. On Saturday, the Bobcats scored the only goal of the first period, but it was all Wings after that. A goal in the second period, followed by two power play goals in the second period, and an empty net goal in the third period, made it a 4-1 Wings win.
The Wings have won three of their last five games and currently sit in third place in the Central Division.

SHAMROCKS:
- Zach Boren currently leads the team with 27 goals and 50 points. He had two goals on Friday night.
- Daniel Halonen played his first two NAHL games this weekend and scored two goals and had an assist.
- Justin Bartley has 29 points this season and scored two goals on Saturday night.
WINGS:
- Matthew Martin currently leads the team in goals, assists, and points.
- Owen Pitters has 51 points this season and had an assist on Friday night.
- Brody Dustin has 33 points and had an assist on Friday and two goals on Saturday.
