Watertown, SD — The Watertown Shamrocks in conjunction with the North American Hockey League (NAHL) have finalized the league’s 2025 schedule that will feature the Shamrocks taking on the Aberdeen Wings to open the 2025-26 season on September 19th in Aberdeen.
The 2025-26 regular season is once again a 59 game slate for all of the teams in the NAHL’s Central Division including 28 home games per team. After opening the season on the road the night prior, the Shamrocks will drop the puck for their home opener on September 20th against Aberdeen.
The league schedule also features the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota from September 24th-27th where Watertown will play three games. Additionally, the 2026 NAHL Top Prospects will once again take place in Plymouth, Michigan running from February 15th-18th.
Analyzing the schedule, the Shamrocks will go through long home stands and road trips throughout the year. Exiting the Showcase, the Shamrocks will play six straight games at home and will again do so from mid-December to early January marking the two longest home stands of the year. They will also play 11 of 12 at home beginning with the six game home stand in mid-December until January 31st.
On the road, the Shamrocks will play a season long seven straight from November 26th to December 13th and play 11 of 13 on the road including that stretch. Again, Watertown will play eight of nine on the road from February 14th to March 14th.
Highlighting the schedule release again this season is the St. Patrick’s Day game. Like last year, the Shamrocks will take on the Aberdeen Wings at home on St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday, March 17th.
To close the year, it will be Aberdeen once again in the final weekend of the season. The regular season home schedule closes on Friday, April 10th against the Wings and then the season wraps the following night in Aberdeen.
