FRIDAY’S GAME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: The Watertown Shamrocks fell to the Aberdeen Wings 6-1 on Friday night at Odde Ice Arena in the first regular season game of the 2025-26 season.
The Shamrocks scored their first and only goal at 12:41 in the first period. Defenseman Noah Sergott scored his first goal of the season, with assists from Owen Chartier and Zach Boren. In the last minute and a half of the period, forward Jack McDonough tied the game at one for the Wings. He was assisted by Easton Edwards and Matthew Martin.
Despite the Shamrocks’ best efforts throughout the next two periods, the Wings dominated play. They did not score on the 15 shots they accumulated. The Wings scored three goals in the second period: Sam Scheetz scored at 16:47, Zan Spari-Leban at 4:31, and Jonathan Doucette at 1:23.
The Wings netted two more goals in the third period. Anthony Ciaramitaro scored a power play goal at 10:08, and Jack McDonough scored his second of the night at 4:58.

SATURDAY’S GAME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: The Watertown Shamrocks fell to the Aberdeen Wings 6-3 on Saturday night in Prairie Lakes Ice Arena in the second regular season game and the Shamrocks’ first home game of the 2025-26 season.
Shamrocks’ forward Jordan Gurdridge struck first on the power play with the only goal of the first period at 7:44. He was assisted by Junior Podein and Atons Macijevskis.
In the second period, the Wings scored four goals for a 4-1 lead. Two on the power play, with Owen Pitters at 14:52, and Jibber Kuhl at 8:46. Zan Spari-Leban scored at 4:23, and Sam Scheetz scored at 1:34. Despite eight shots in the second, the Shamrocks were unable to get one past Wings’ goalie Willum Braun. Goalie Mason Gudridge was replaced by Ethan Phillips for the remainder of the period.
In the third period, Mason Gudridge was put back in net. Owen Pitter scored his second goal and put the Wings up 5-1 at 14:30. He was assisted by Gavin Reed and Finn Safir. At 12:38, Jordan Gudridge scored his second goal to make the score 5-2. He was assisted by Memphis Wilcox and Carter Sproule. Later in the period, at 4:18, Junior Podein, assisted by Payton Struck, made it 5-3.
In the last seconds of the period, Jibber Kuhl of the Wings scored an empty net goal to make it 6-3.

Next Up: This upcoming week, the Watertown Shamrocks will travel to Blaine, Minnesota for the 2025 NAHL Showcase. They will play three regular-season game at the Showcase. The first game is scheduled for September 24, 2025 at 7:15 PM against the Odessa Jackalopes.
