FRIDAY’S GAME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: The Watertown Shamrocks fell to the Minot Minotauros 3-5 on Friday night in Prairie Lakes Ice Arena in the sixth regular season game of the 2025-26 season.
The Shamrocks struck first with a goal by Carter Sproule, assisted by Erick Comstock and Zach Boren, at 19:14 in the first. Soon after, at 10:31, Davin Nichols, assisted by Ivan Sidorov and Michael Solominsky, scored Minot’s first goal of the game. At 8:12, Junior Podein put the Shamrocks ahead, with assists from Carter Sprole and Zach Boren. Right at the end of the period, Mario Fate tied the game at two, with assists from Owen Dawson and Marlen Edwards.
In the second, Marlen Edwards, assisted by Lucca Ori and Ty James, scored the first goal of the period for Minot on the power play. At 9:27, Carter Sproule, assisted by Junior Podein and Justin Bartley, scored his second goal of the game and tied it at three on the power play.
In the final frame, despite the Shamrocks’ 10 shots on goal, they were held scoreless. At 6:04, Braeden Jockims, assisted by Luca Ori and Jax Warren, scored a shorthanded goal for the Minotauros. At 3:58, Philp Wiklund, assisted by Michael Solominsky and Brady Zugec, made the final score 5-3.

SATURDAY’S GAME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: The Watertown Shamrocks defeated the Minot Minotauros 3-2 in a shootout victory on Saturday night in Prairie Lakes Ice Arena in the seventh regular season game of the 2025-26 season.
Minot’s Artem Prima, assisted by Owen Dawson and Philip Wiklund, scored the first goal of the game at 14:27 in the first. In the final 30 seconds of the period, Carter Sproule, assisted by Zach Boren and Roy Chung, tied the game at one.
In the second, Jakub Habla, assisted by Marlen Edwards and Garbiel Kenny, scored the only goal of the period at 16:57.
At 18:40 in the third period, Sproule, assisted by Jack Kavetsky, scored the only goal of the period to tie the game at two.
During the five minutes of three-on-three overtime, neither team scored, forcing the game to a shootout.
In the shootout, Minot’s Brady Zugec shot first, and Shamrocks’ goalie Kavetsky made the save. Boren shot first for the Shamrocks and scored, making it 1-0. Afterwards, Minot’s Mario Fate shot and scored, making it 1-1 in the shootout. Sproule then shot for the Shamrocks and scored. Last, Minot’s Lucca Ori shot, and Kavetsky made the save to put the Shamrocks on top.
